ColostroSam

Category: Supplements

ColostroSam (colostrum), a nutrient-rich fluid produced by female mammals the few days after giving birth, is loaded with immune, growth and tissue repair factors. It is a complex biological fluid, which helps in the development of immunity in the newborn. It contains significant quantities of complement components that act as natural anti-microbial agents to actively stimulate the maturation of an infant’s immune system. Studies have shown that colostrum is the only natural source of two major growth factors namely, transforming growth factors alpha and beta, and insulin-like growth factors 1 and 2.

ColostroSam® production:

The collected colostrum from milking the healthy cows is poured into sterile containers and immediately transferred to -18ºC freezers in order to prevent the growth of microorganisms. The defrosting process is performed at the temperature of 37 ºC. After this procedure, the defrosted product is transferred to the separator for degreasing. Degreasing improves the product's stability and shelf life. At this time, the sampling procedures for in-process quality control (IPQC) are performed to ensure that the degreasing process was accurate.
